What's is CMA?

Cherry Mountain Arts is a fine art exhibit space, art center and novelty shop. Our function will be more reminiscent of a museum rather than a traditional gallery space. The space is split into three pieces:  Novelty Shop, Exhibit Space 001 and Exhibit Space 002. This layout allows us to maximize our ability to work with different artists regularly. At CMA, we believe that art should have no limits to how it’s defined. Our positioning in the art world will be fun, purposeful and boundless. We will strive to give more artists a platform to grow.

Mission:

Our goal is to provide Chicago with an art center that serves as a gathering place for members of the community to come together and be inspired by the power of art. We want to create a space that encourages collaboration and the exchange of ideas, where everyone feels welcomed and accepted. Through exhibits, events, classes, and workshops, we hope to foster a sense of community and provide an outlet for creativity. We believe that art has the potential to bring people together, build bridges, and create a positive, vibrant atmosphere in our city.

Artists need a space to create where they can feel liberated to explore their own artistic styleand inspirations without fear of judgement or criticism. We aim to provide the right tools andresources needed to provide artists with the freedom to experiment and craft their work to thebest of their ability. At CMA you can express your ideas and be surrounded by the motivationand support of other people who share a similar passion for art.
